Fashion Connect Partners Up With YEAH
FASHION CONNECT is excited to announce our partnership with YEAH: Young and Empowered Around Health. A renewed fashion event bringing together fashion enthusiasts and industry icons. We are so thrilled about this news because of their awesome vision of youth led sexual health, alcohol and drug education. The links between these areas in young peoples lives are strong and real!
Show your support for people with HIV on the night of Fashion Connect by making a donation and wearing a red ribbon, the international symbol of HIV awareness and support. Together we can help raise funds to help stop the fight against HIV/AIDS. Help us make some noise, watch and share this awesome video!
About HIV and AIDS
World AIDS Day is held on December 1st each year. It raises awareness across the world and in the community about the issues surrounding HIV and AIDS. It’s about remembering, honouring, respecting and uniting people. HIV is one of the most destructive diseases humankind has ever faced and brings with it profound social, economic and public health consequences. HIV continues to be one of the world’s most serious health and development challenges and equally remains a major health issue here in Australia.
Stigma and Discrimination
Stigma and discrimination towards people living with HIV or AIDS continues to be one of the greatest barriers in ending the epidemic. The global World AIDS Day theme for 2015 is: Getting to Zero: Zero new HIV infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS related deaths.
